Everyone is entitled to have a freedom. Freedom of thought, giving opinion, and getting all of the rights. As we know, on 17th August is our beloved country’s birthday. In that day, everyone in Indonesia will have a flag ceremony including all of Indonesia’s student. After the ceremony, Indonesian people will celebrate that day with different ways.
Yahya Senior High School also celebrate the Independence day on 19th August. The celebrating started with the flag ceremony. All of the OSIS members were on officers ceremony. All of them wore a complete white uniform like a real Paskibraka on TV. Every student followed the ceremony very serious.
After the ceremony, teacher told us to prepare our own class to following the game and gave us several minutes to change our school uniform with sporty uniform. OSIS team also prepared all of they need like the food stand and the score board.
Let me tell you about the game. the first game spent a lot of time, the game called estafet. I think, estafet was a name for a group band. Balap karung, bakiak, insert the thread into the needle, kerupuk eating contest, and the most interesting game in estafet is taking coins from the fruit that smeared with coffee and oil. Every student laughs of it. Laugh at them who were a part of that game.
The second game was Bola Sarung, the boys who joined this game looked cooler than usual. They played soccer with wearing a sarung and ran like there wasn’t anything hampered them.
Okay, the third game was very challenging and need a lot of energy. The game called Tarik Tambang. This game needed so many participants from each class. I think this game was the most exciting game.
Although we’ve tired but this activities have a lot of means and unforgettable things. We are taught to become cooperative with each other, sportive, and because of this event we have a good togetherness time not only for a member of class but with everyone in Yahya Senior High School, including the teachers. You know what? The teachers also participated on this activity. Honestly, I’m very enjoyed 71st birthday in Yahya Senior High School.
